Tire Track

Ok, this isn't a photographic masterpiece. I just thought it was a cool shot, because I like shots taken from unusual angles.

In this case, it's a tire track in the snow, taken from just above the ground in a trench that I dug through the snow in my driveway.

We got a lot of this white stuff in the northeast U.S. last week. And I'm sure there's a lot more coming before the winter is over.

Snow is sometimes difficult to photograph, because of blown-out highlights and white balance issues. I think I managed to avoid the blue tint that sometimes occurs with images of snow that aren't correctly white-balanced. And the shadows in the snow trench prevented any highlight problems.

So, not a masterpiece. Just a little fun in the snow.
