The View Across the Lake

November 06, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

It’s been a busy few weeks - once again my camera never left its bag.

So this will be a short post. I just wanted to share another travel shot from our time at Keuka Lake in upstate New York.

While there, the weather was somewhat dynamic, with rain and cloudiness followed by periods of sun. Any photographer will tell you that’s a great environment for interesting images.

In this shot, the sun was poking through the clouds and illuminating the hillside on the other side of the lake. The lake shore was still in shadow, but the top of the hill was bright and sunny. Naturally, when I saw that, I grabbed my camera and quickly framed, focused, and fired…

Across the LakeAcross the LakeThe sun lit up the hillside across the lake just as I took this photo.

The lone tree at the crest of the hill creates a nice point of interest.

Anyway, nothing more to say about this one. Hopefully for my next post I’ll have something newer to share.
